Maybe you can help me with this. I have a book, The Reign of the Anti-Santas, out now. Promoting a book is no picnic. It’s hard to sum up your own work, and even harder to shoehorn it into the minds of a large swath of the population.
So how about a game?
Call it 13 Ways of Looking at a Pitch. I have a series of fairly distinct descriptions of the book below. Just type the number of your favorite tagline in the comments, with a few words of why you like it best.
There are some scary smart people among my subscribers, so I’m excited to hear what you think.
The three people with the best answers will get a free advance copy! And the winning caption will go on the promotional materials for the book.
Here come the pitches

After finishing the ARC, I’d go for #3 or #6. The essence of the book is the side-splitting, nonstop humor, which stays just enough inside the completely ridiculous to keep you caring about the plot.
Number 5 seals the deal for me. While there were some other fun ones that made it hard to decide between, I landed on 5 because it comes in and frames the story as an intense thriller full of conspiracy and secret dealings. It evokes this sense of subterfuge and action. While the humor rings through, I'm anticipating a rush of adrenaline between the humor.
